
Strawberry Gum
Strawberry gum (Eucalyptus Olida or Forestberry) is used to enhance the flavour of cooked fruit dishes, desserts or spiced jams, bringing out the classic 'berry' flavour. Strawberry Gum contains methyl cinnamate which gives it the strong strawberry aroma and flavour. Used traditionally by Indigenous people for digestive complaints.
How to Use:
- Use to flavour desserts and fruit dishes
- A great addition to ice-creams, jams and pavlova
- Add in baking, sauces, parfaits and creamy desserts
- Add in tea and other drinks like juices and smoothies
- Add to whipped cream and raw dessert
- Can be used with salt in savoury dishes to enhance flavours
Great for:
A wonderful flavour enhancer for fruit salads and desserts such as crème brulée, Pavlova, macrons, pannacotta, and ice cream. A match made in heaven with chocolate or vanilla. Strawberry Gum can also be used in to produce a delectable tea.
Tastes like:
Sweet and slightly acidic like balsamic vinegar, with fruity undertones that have shades of cinnamon, strawberry and passionfruit.
